I may be a hoarder...minus the dead cats

As I watch Hoarder shows in complete disgust I wonder...how could you let it get so bad? Well let me tell you I may be a hoarder...minus the dead cats. Its funny how fast you can lose control of a craft room...especially when you have a 10 month old...that keeps me laughing all day, crafting A.D.D....that prevents me from completing a project, and a curtain covering the door... so no one can see in(and if no one sees the mess then it doesn't exist...right? ). I think I'm only capable of using the portion of my brain that wants to have fun, craft, and play with my babies all day(I say babies since there is rarely a day that there is just one around here)...you know the ol' left brain, right brain stuff...but when I walked in this fiasco yesterday...

...I realized something had to be done. But where to start? (actually after the first pin I stepped on I figured putting on shoes was step #1.) Being the crafter in the family I received all of Rob's Grandmas crafting goods when she passed away last year and I hadn't yet even looked through some of the treasures...but I found so much that will have to be saved for a blog at another time(hopefully not in 6 months since that's how often I'm blogging these days).

After several hours and help from my lovely assistants...

I have gotten to this stage...

On the Hoarder show(if you've never seen one you really should watch...but not while your eating..or if you love alive cats) the people are always saving things for people...used coloring books for kids at church, 2 year old newspapers for people who may want to read an article...mostly just junk. Well guess what, I was doing this...maybe so and so will want this floral tape...maybe someone can use that scrapbooking stuff( Jae said if your saving things for someone you don't even like you ARE a hoarder...oooops!)

So I'm off to finish...Ive invited the sisters over for a Good Ol' Fashioned Organizing Party later(anything sounds fun with good ol' fashioned in front of it right?) and hopefully Ill be filling you in tonight on a post titled something like "I have the most organized craft room in the world":)

So I wouldn't normally throw (not literally) Jo into the car and race over for a sale(especially after an afternoon of trying to take pictures of a 3 yr old, a 9 month old, a 7 month old and a 5 month old)...but for cheap diapers you know we were there in 2 minutes! Christie over at Wild for Wags posted about some possible clearance diapers...this hasn't reached AZ but I will be keeping my eyes open! With tons of diaper coupons out there you could make some awesome deals!

You know the coupon commando cashier...the one who double checks that you have every item before pushing the little K1 button that pushes it thru...she was my cashier today. I love the days when I get the cashier that's impressed by my money saving skills but this was not one of them...

I did save a lot although she price adjusted 2 coupons to ensure I did not make a better deal than I should...She actually said "You know you can only use 1 Manufactures coupon and one Target coupon, right?'

UHHHHHH ya lady this ain't my first rodeo... shes quite lucky Rob had stopped in the store (since he was in the area) because if I had Jo crying and this ladies attitude I may have lost it! (OK we all know I wouldn't have done anything but sometimes I can imagine)

Another great week...although I wish there were more women's body wash deals than men's since I have cabinets full of men's "stuff" and only 2 bottles of women's. Also this week I came to the decision that my Walgreens on the corner purposely doesn't stock the good sale items...so I went to another one and they are awesome!

This morning I briefly lost my RRs but I found them! We had a showing on our home Friday and in a rushed clean up I threw my envelope in a basket under my desk behind a sewing machine...kinda like when you put milk in the pantry!

Since I had a few diaper coupons that expired today I wrapped up my week by making another trip into Walgreens. Unfortunately I totally forgot fillers and had to grab a couple candy bars at the register....DANGIT! But really how many cans of tomato sauce does a girl need...I think I need to find a few new recipes to use up those. AND those pesky Noxema razors which have been out of stock all week were finally in but only the $4.99 ones....but I figured $.50 for 4 razors is a pretty good deal...

So this was a good Wags week for me...and its only Wednesday! With the help of my trusty sidekick/husband I got 5 transactions crammed into 2 trips...this is necessary with a diva daughter like mine!

Since the store was pretty slow when I went in on Monday I did 3 transactions-bought a Complete Contact solution(used a $2 coupon each time) and Hunts cashed my $4.50 RRs from all that body wash(which is making my sidekick smell quite delicious!) for a total OOP of $ 7.23 ($2.41x3) and got back $24 in RR($8 each trans)

Well Tuesday rolled around and I had all those RRs burin a whole in my pocket so I had to hit up the Wags again...luckily its just around the corner!!! So this trip I bought

~ 2 Listerine Mouth Rinse $5.99 each -$3 of In Ad Q - (2) $2 off MFC from coupons.com =$.99 each

I ended up saving $36.05..so not quite as good as my last trip but I most likely wont have to buy deoderant for a while...oh but wait Rob wont use the Right Guard deoderant so now Im just a crazy lady with 11 sticks of deoderant in her medicine cabinet:)

I Love Coupons! Total Spent 5.81

So Ive really been slacking on my sewing and crafting lately...due to the fact I am now obsessed with couponing!! I told Rob this would be my income...Example- if I save $50.57 thats how much money I made for the day! On May 18th thats how much I made...and I only spent 5.81 OOP(out of pocket)

I got 4 Right Guard deoderant, 2 old spice deoderant, 1 Gillete deoderant, 1 Gilette body wash, 5 Reach tooth brushes, 2 colgate toothpastes 2 packs of gum and 3 Jellos(fillers)! I think I even amazed my check out lady who originally was annoyed at the amount of coupons I had:)

I hope he doesnt read this since its part of his gift but my baby brother is off to college next year so Im stocking up on stuff for him so he doesnt have to worry about buying this kinda stuff while hes away.

I have a few more walgreens trips to take this week if I can squeeze them in...not that easy with a four month old and a party to plan!
